Earth to Table Pottery: A Celebration of Growing, Preparing and Serving
Marsha Shrack
This exhibit has been sponsored in part by Kanza Cooperative Association & C.L Meigs & Associates New York Life.
Friday 8/3 at 6pm: Opening Reception
This exhibit is a personal celebration of Marsha’s interests expressed in clay; gardening, cooking and the fellowship of eating, drinking and socializing with family and friends. She has taken this opportunity to create new functional pieces to be used and enjoyed in daily life. She has included a variety of growing containers for plants and succulents and vases for flowers. The exhibit features new mugs, bowls, platters, baking dishes, pie plates and casserole dishes for food preparation and serving. She uses earthenware and terra cotta clay for growing containers and reduction high fired stoneware for all food related pieces. Stoneware glazes are food safe, oven, microwave and dishwasher safe.
Thanks to the generosity of our guest artist, this exhibition has been organized as a fundraiser for the Filley Art Museum! 40% of sales are donated to the art museum (which can be tax deductible for those who purchase artwork during this show). Your contribution helps the Filley Museum accomplish our mission and serve our community. By purchasing artwork during this show you are donating funds that will go back to the community in the form of services that the art museum provides. Some of our programming includes school and educational tours, art classes, exhibits, lectures, and unique art based events.
